There is currently a bit of controversy regarding the benefit of organic produce versus non-organic caused by a study of studies that said there is very little difference in nutrient levels between the two. Every study was different and the averaging of all these studies brings inaccurate results because they don’t ask all the questions. There are over a 100 elements and science knows only a fraction of how these elements and their compounds relate to life forms. Science knows that too much salt in your diet is not good but insufficient is also not good. With elements like mercury, we only know what too much will do; we don’t know what too little will do. To trust the outcome of studies based on minimal knowledge would not be prudent. In non-organic farming farmers only add three basic nutrients, NPK, to their soil and continually harvest for years removing all the other elements like gold, silver and copper in their crops without putting these trace elements back. Whereas organic farmers put these trace elements back in the organic matter. Almost all organic matter contains most of the elements. Science is not as advanced as we perceive. Science does not know enough to cure the common cold. Organics just makes better sense. Trust your sense.
